Description
This versatile handheld network analyzer serves every need and is the ultimate solution for network deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Also bringing simplicity and functionality to the level the engineer is most comfortable, the device allows technicians to provide better services for Wi-Fi and Ethernet access networks. The capability of remote online access and control allows field technicians to now use the knowledge of engineers to speed up problem resolution and improve productivity.
Modern access networks are complicated, so the EtherScope nXG includes supporting technologies, adding Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth/BLE, and Ethernet. Rapid provisioning, monitoring, analysis, and security of such networks would make work processes much better for everyone and result in an improved experience for the end user. For example, all these functions—Wi-Fi surveying, Ethernet troubleshooting, and performing internal security audits—are combined into one device, which changes the game for network professionals.
As if that is not enough, EtherScope nXG has two native Wi-Fi interfaces: one is a 2×2 adapter for scanning and testing Wi-Fi networks, and the other is a 1×1 adapter for remote control and testing. The two interfaces give you all possible views about network utilization, Wi-Fi channels, SSIDs, BSSIDs, access points, and client devices with support for 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz partial tri-band frequencies. Additionally, there are two Ethernet ports on the device. One RJ-45 main test port supports MultiGig networks with transfers up to 10Gb, tests PoE power during loading (up to 90W), and interconnects fibre networks via single/multi-mode SFP+ at rates of up to 10Gbps.
The second port is mainly for management and has speed capabilities of up to 1Gbps for providing remote control, network discovery, and cable testing. Ethernet and Wi-Fi, the EtherScope nXG, connecting site surveys and connectivity with Bluetooth v5/BLE, is taking it beyond what everyone else can offer in terms of connectivity using USB interfaces, opening up its applicability.
The LinkRunner 10G is an Ethernet tester for Multi-Gig and 10 Gig networks, supporting copper and fibre connections.
- LinkRunner 10G
- Install, test, verify, and troubleshoot Multi-Gig (NBASE-T) and 10G networks with advanced troubleshooting apps and purpose-built test hardware at line rate.
- Perform physical layer testing, including cable (TDR), toning, wiremapping, and LANBERT Media Qualification testing with cable SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) measurements for Multi-Gig links.
- Compatibility with standards-compliant SFPs enables testing and validation of any wired media (copper or fibre) for various use cases.
- Validate up to 90W 802.3bt PSE with TruePower loaded Power over Ethernet (PoE) testing.
- Use two LinkRunner 10G units for line-rate performance testing to verify network capacity, performance, QoS, and service provider SLAs between sites.
- The main RJ-45 port supports MultiGig networks (10/100/1000Mbps, 2.5G, 5G, 10G) to verify link speed, SNR, and duplex settings. It also supports PoE testing under load up to 90W.
- Interface with fibre networks using single/multi-mode SFP+ to test 1/10Gbps fibre-based Ethernet.
- The management RJ-45 port connects to 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet for remote control, network scanning, and cable testing.
- The SFP+ slot supports standards-based interfaces such as TwinAx, DAC cables, and vendor-specific transceivers.
- Supports third-party apps via the Link-Live app store for extended functionalities.
- The USB-A port allows connectivity for USB adapters and accessories such as printers, barcode scanners, and fibre optic inspection cameras.
- USB-C port supports higher-power chargers and external power packs for portable use.
- Using third-party apps supports wireless testing with a USB Wi-Fi adapter (e.g., Edimax n150).
- Layer 1-7 AutoTest helps technicians identify network problems and monitor networks periodically for up to 24 hours to detect intermittent issues.
- Automatically discovers devices in the network and generates topology maps using Link-Live for up-to-date documentation and security insights.
- Line-rate capture up to 10Gbps ensures no packets are lost during testing.
- Supports LANBERT Media Qualification testing to validate if existing cabling can handle higher speeds.
